The AchilloTrain Pro features a specialized friction pad running along the Achilles tendon. The two wings of the pad extend to the insertion of the calf muscle tendon and stimulate the upper third of the tendon and the nerve endings (proprioceptors) at the muscle-tendon junction.
The pad's silicone nubs point inward and provide a pain-relieving friction massage during movement. This improves proprioception and therefore the sequence of movement. Vertical grooves aid lymphatic drainage, while the channel in the pad also guides the Achilles tendon in its anatomical path of movement.
